GHD IV Styler with gap between plates

Options
Hi, I bought a pair of GHD IV Stylers from ASOS (so genuine), however I've noticed a small gap at the back between the pates when they are closed together. When they are hot the gap is a little less but none the less I assume the plates should be totally parallel to each other when closed?

Is this normal and could anyone else with GHD IV Stylers let me know if there's has a gap when closed (nearest to the lead)?

Thanks :)

Hi - Yes it does but it requires a really good squeeze if you know what i mean? lol I have had ghds before and never had this problem :/
  • Hi, I have exactly the same ones as you which I also bought from ASOS roughly 6 months ago. I just checked them and they don't seem to have the problem you're describing. Sounds like a manufacturing fault, don't think it sounds like a big problem but maybe worth contacting GHD about? x

  • You're welcome! :) I'm pretty sure they are, just checked the little sticker and it says "Model no.ghd 4.2B" x
