I would like to do the party for under £300 for 80 people. doing my own catering to keep costs down. the theme for the party is 70's/80's with only music for these years being played.
All ideas gratefully recieved

I just had a 70s theme party for my husbands 40th. It was great I bought a 70s room scene setter cost about £40 for the whole living room to be transformed and it looked great. I had disco lights etc borrow lava lamps, disco balls if you can.
Have a great time.0 -
Hi - food could be:
sausage rolls
cheese and pineapple on sticks (stick into an orange!)
black forest gateau
sausages on sticks
chicken drumsticks
vol au vents
half boiled eggs (stuffed?)
fondue set
lemon meringue pie
cheese and cracker platter
Update - you can probably pick up one of those disco ball/lgihts quite cheaply adn they do the silver foil curtains on ebay for under a fiver - Shimmer Foil Door Curtain Christmas Party Decoration .Great opportunities to help others seldom come, but small ones surround us every day. -- Sally Koch0
