Hubby bought me a curling wand for Christmas, can anyone recommend a product that will protect my hair from the heat and help to hold the curl as my hair is really heavy and the curl drops quite quickly.
Thanks

my curls hold better when i haven't just washed my hair (after a couple of days, it works a lot better!).:happyhear0

No real budget - I won't be using it too often so even if it's expensive it should last a while!xxx Nikki xxx0

yes don't try and curl on freshly washed hair as they drop straight away!
a good heat protectant that isn't too expensive is the Tresame one. Then just use alooooooooot of hairspray on each individual curl."Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring."0 -
Cheers - will give it a go!xxx Nikki xxx0

Aveda do a spray called Brilliant which is designed to protect heat styled hair.
I'd advise against a cream as it can weigh hair down and this is what can make a curl drop. Spray on the protectant and style straight away then when done spray with a hair spray- this will help the curl to hold but do not spray hairspray as you curl- this will cause you endless damage due to the alcohol and other drying ingredients in the spray.0 -
I love the S Factor range by Tigi. They smell lovely and last a really long time. I currently straighten my hair lots and use the flat iron heat defence and it has lasted me over a year and I have less than half the bottle left. I also love the Bed Head- Foxy curls products.
