HELP please

I have been trying to arrange it and the magazine ignores my emails and I booked with the hotel but they said I'd only won 1 night. I then called the magazine and was told as it was online there was no copy of it now (bit strange I thought) I read to her what the prize description stated and was told to take it up with the hotel so I said in the meantime I would email her with correspondence I'd had with the lady at the hotel and the prize description. Well still nothing from the magazine.

Should I send the prize description to the hotel and see what they say?

I'm so confused and upset really as it did sound such a good prize and then to be told it's just a 1 night stay.

This isn't the first time a magazine has run a competition (similar happened with New Scientist, when people won and they didn't honour prizes).

I would speak to Guoman’s The Cumberland hotel (www.guoman.com) again.. show them all what you have from competition, and details that would have been emailed to you. I am sure Gouman's would have a record of the prize they arranged with Cosmo!

Let me see if I can find a cached page of the comp, you need to take it up with cosmo, email again and CC the editor, state you have been left in a very awkward and upsetting position trying to sort this out, so to save yourself from further embarrassment you will let the IPM chase it up on your behalf. Also state you would like a response within 7 working days so you can move on from this experience.

The Onus is with Cosmo not the hotel.

There isn't a cached page I can find, But stating you have checked on the web and found the competition read up and copy n pasting the mse prize description might help.

I think where your problem lies, is many comps say weekend break and mean 1 night as they expect you to stay on a saturday night, you have to often check they actually mean 2 nights.

the cosmo comp clearly stated 2 nights, but that could have been a misunderstanding from the person who wrote the web comp.

Well just sent an email to the marketing manager again and cc to editor and asked for the prize to be clarified within 7 days or I will contact the IPC.

Fingers crossed it will get sorted as I'm going to be audience for meet the doyles and was hoping to use the stay at the hotel for then
