argos returns was it extended for christmas?

Hi I bought my daughter a doll for christmas that she really really needed:p She really needed it right up until she actually saw it in the flesh this morning. now she doesn't like it, it hasn't been taken out of the box but i bought it 02/11 will they give me a refund? i've got my receipt. it was £52 otherwise i wouldn't be so bothered!

I remember a few years back they'd ask if it was a Christmas gift & if so write 'Christmas' or something on the receipt and then it could be returned if it was unwanted. Hasn't happened for a long time though.
Officially it's 30 days but why not take it back & ask. They're usually helpful and may well refund it anyway if you explain (say it was a duplicated present;))
Or if you know you'll be shopping in Argos again then ask for the money to be put on a gift card.0
