How do you plant the pumpkin seeds?

Not sure what you mean by husks? They shouldn't have any of the pulp left on them as that would probably go mouldy, but the seed coat should be left intact.
I came looking for this thread, and the one a day or so earlier, because I have read today, on a vegetable growing email list, that seeds from bought pumpkins will probably not come "true", that is that any pumpkins may not look or taste like the one that was bought. This is due to a process called cross fertilisation. So those of you who want to grow pumpkins may be disappointed with what you get, and may be better off with a packet of seeds, which will also have instructions.0
