Carefully slide a knife to slice the sellotape and see what is in the present without tearing the wrapping. Then you can give it to someone else next year and it's already wrapped.

Good advice!
I once got a fabric roll up thing for storing jewellery in, which was useless as I hardly have any jewellery.
Got a lady in the bran tub at work who always wore loads of jewellery so I thought I'd recycle it. Took it out of the box to check it to make sure it was ok, and I'm pleased I did as the relative who gave it too me had put some photographs in it of them with my children which they'd taken when we visitedHere I go again on my own....0 -
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move discussions from the MoneySaving boards if they’re not related to MoneySaving to help everyone find the MoneySaving tips and discussion quicker (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to Discussion Time/The Arms. My post was a little tongue in cheek but to suggest it isn't moneysaving-related is a little disingenuous. It's certainly more moneysaving than promotoing Crown Currency
