Tesco Xmas Eve

Today at about 4pm, our local Tesco started serious reductions.
I missed out on cheap mushrooms but picked up a load of lettuce @ 10p and 61 packets of sandwiches at 10p - 18p each.
My 32 poultry will definitely know its Xmas!!! Much cheaper than buying them mixed corn as a treat.
Also lots of meat, poultry & fish were reduced to double figures. This was great as I have to be on a high protein diet for the rest of my life.:j:beer::D

It is helpful because although Tesco was open until 7pm yesterday, they started massive reductions about 4pm. I was telling what could be obtained, not guaranteeing that you would get the same deals.:D0

I think he means posting after Tescos closed is, well, pointless.0

Can you feed sandwiches to poultry?...presumably some would have contained meat and chicken, cheap or not I think that's pretty sick.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I leave the crusts for the poultry. Remember also that they are omnivores, as we are, and eat worms and insects, even rats if they manage to kill one. In this weather, especially if they are moulting, they need all the protein they can get. They also eat sweetcorn, lettuce and other green vegetables. This is surely more natural that just feeding them processed pellets? Actually they get both from me and are more healthy because of it. Some poultry keepers feed their chooks cat food.
Obviously you have not kept chickens - their welfare is paramount with most poultry keepers.
On the subject of posting after Tesco had shut - there is still New Years Eve to come.0 -
This is helpful how?
Not every post has to be helpful, sometimes people just want to tell others about something that happened to them.
Sometimes people just want to comment, like your post, it was not helpful to anyone, nor of any interest to anyone, in fact it was pointless drivel. But you are as entitled to post it as anyone else is.0 -

The chickens won't think it's sick, and that's what counts.0 -
