It's not traditionally bridal, but it's lovely and it sounds like you're going to do something outside of tradition, so if you like it, then got for it!!!

I know someone who wore a black dress for her second wedding, with pearls over parts of it and it was lovely.

    :(

You might be surprised though... I never thought I'd be able to carry off what I think I'm wearing, but I am soooo glad I tried it on!!!

Maybe see if you can find something similar to try on?

You could have this made to measure but have the dressmaker proportion it to your body size.
    I'm loving it muchly!!

Don't worry about looking unbridelike...I'm not having a conventional wedding dress and for a while I was bothered that I'd be just wearing an evening dress and not looking like a bride. Mine will be silver coloured and doesn't really fit against all the strapless dresses on offer everywhere, but it's being made by Linda who has the unenviable task of making a 47yr old look elegant on her big day! I really did worry I wouldnt look like a bride but after getting to the sketch stage, and seeing a sample of the material I know that once I've got my hair sorted, am carrying flowers and being the one walking down the aisle either with a big grin or trying not to cry nobody will see me as anything but the bride!!
It's your day, wear whatever you want to and if you're going for something different enjoy it (though be prepared to spend longer shoe hunting if you aren't wearing white/ivory!!)

That's cause it is Linea Raffaelli, isn't it? The OP has posted one of those sites that will copy it for you?

I like it, but it is more MOB than bride I think.

Could very well be, but obviously, Linea uses the finest silks in her gowns, so at the OP's price, it wont be made from silk and probably will hang differently too. My opinion obviously.
