Does anyone know how to make a home made handwash that would kill bacteria but also be moisterising as well please.
I have quails, chickens and a duck so wash my hands often then use the anti bac gel but my hands are soo dry.
Thanks

Hot water and plain old soap will kill most germs tbh. You don't need to use gel as well. If you don't know it already learn how to do the "nurses' wash" that includes the insides of your fingers, wrists and fingertips. Then dry on a paper towel or piece of kitchen roll instead of the same old towel. This was what we were told to do when DS was on chemo as it was the most effective way to keep our hands as germ free as possible in daily life. Frequent hand washing of any kind does dry the skin though so it's best to use a hand cream as soon as you've dried your hands. I like Body Shop body butters for this.Val.0

I buy sainsburys smartprice bubble bath something like 16p per litre and top up pump dispensers, use a good technique for long enough with warm water it is effective hand hygiene (I'm a nurse and VERY particular about hand washing and I'm happy with this)Save £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Try using Lush soaps, or any soap made from natural fats with no foaming agents added. They'll be less drying. (Lush do add foaming agents but they are still less drying than mainstream soaps).
You could also try using a moisturiser after each wash or if you're trying to save money then a few drops of almond or grapeseed oil rubbed in should work. Just don't use too much!
