Dawning of realisation (hello!)

Been trawling through the forum for a very short while now, and just thought I'd pop my head into the fray and say hello.

At the moment, I owe just under £28,000 and have finally decided to sit down and sort things out.

It's not nice when you look back on what you've spent throughout the years and have little to show for it really.

So I've started my daily money diary, amn taking a few days off next week to sort out my SOA and then possibly have a few chats with people and see what we can do.

It's nice to have these forums where there are people who know what it's like and don't feel the need to have a go!

Well, actually, in the real world it'd be lovely for these forums not to exist at all and that no-one was in debt, but there we go!

Anyways, thanks to everyone here, I feel a lot better about having the convictions to sort out my problems.

Cheers, Joe.

  • Well done on making a start. I know where you're coming from as my debts were about the same as yours when I started but with a bit of advice from here I was able to cut some of it quite significantly straight away. Hope you are able to do the same.

    Hi there Joe,

Good luck and well done on starting your DFW journey. You'll start to feel much more in control now and as others on here have found, it affects other parts of your life than just your wallet!

    Joe,

Well done on the Light Bulb Moment. It might feel a bit daunting at first but once you sort out what money is owed to whom, it'll become a lot easier.

    Good Lick.
