I am going to treat myself to some posh stuff in the sales soon and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations:), I fancy Redken and have already tried Kerastasse which was lovely, not so keen on Paul Mitchell and I dont like Philip Kingsley. I prefer shampoos and conditioners without protein or dimethicone but I'd be flexible for a product that was highly rated.
I have wavy/curly hair that can frizz but most shampoo/conditioner seems to behave ok on my hair, its coloured but I dont want anything for colour treated hair, tbh I dont wash my hair very often, once a week or twice at the most so fading is longer a problem.
Suggestions please:)

I really like Bumble and Bumble for shampoo and conditioner. Kerastase was nice but didn't really do anything special for my hair- the leave in products and masques are really where its at with Kerastase. I'd say the same about Redken although I have not yet tried a conditioner for Redken, just the masque and shampoo and leave in. (The leave ins are not all that for Redken IME).
Aveda do really good shampoo and contioners. The masques are the same as the conditioners but denser- thats been my experience anyway. I don't really find their leave ins as good as Kerastase but some are nice.
Other then that, if you have the money, Shu Uemura but they are mega pricey and rarely reduced more then about 15%.
Pureology is a nice brand but its claims to stop all fadage are untrue- its not the shampoo or conditioner that cause fading, its the water we wash out hair with that does most of the damage, theres only so much a haircare product can do!0 -
I use Frederic Fekkai products - SpaceNK and Harrods have some on offer at the mo, at the lowest prices I have ever seen them in the UK!Gone ... or have I?0

Thanks:) I was thinking of trying B&B, I've tried my friends hair powder of thiers and it was very good, they are included in the sale as well, I also thought about Aveda but am a touch concerned with them as the are part of EL and I often react to products from them but tbh I've never tried the haircare, Shu Uerma is on sale too about 20% I think so I'll check that out, thanks jen:)
dmg, I would love to try Frederic Fekkai products, I cant remember if they are on sale on the site but I'm going to check it out:)
Should of mentioned I'm looking at lookfantastic for my "bargains" any other suggestions for good value are welcome:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
Kerastase is amazing but I think Sebastian products are incredible. Some things are better than others but in general it is great and not as expensive as other premium lines. If you only get one product get this - it works wonders with curly hair that can frizz http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemId=579/Potion_9/Sebastian/Styling_Products xThere are many things in life that will catch your eye, only a few will catch your heart. Pursue those.0

If you go to an Aveda salon or outlet and explain your worries (about a reaction) they may offer you some samples. I've had loads of samples from them in the past.0

Hi,
Not a 'premium' shampoo, but I swear by Aussie Miracle Moist Shampoo & Conditioner. I have long hair (nearly down to my waist) with highlights and Aussie is my absolute favourite.

I have tried almost everything for my curly hair. Haven't tried Sebastian, but am going to now I have read the reviews. Can highly recommend Aveda (Damage Remedy shampoo, conditioner, and the leave in conditioner all in the same range). Also Philip Kingsley Elasticiser. I have also had Moroccanoil recommended. I don't rate Bumble or Liz Earle. Redken is OK. Paul Mitchell is more akin to a supermarket brand. Used Kerastase years ago and thought it was good. But for a real premium product, Aveda is the way to go.0

Thanks everyone:) I have tried Aussie products (dd really likes them) and find them ok for my hair but not that great, high street wise I like Herbal Essences or strangly Morrisons own brand thats made to look like Herbal Essences, I've narrowed my list to Sebastian or Aveda my local mens hairdressers that OH uses use Aveda products and she offered me some samples a while ago so I might try that, Philip Kingsly wrecked my hair, Morccanoil has quite a bit of dimethicone I believe and I agree with Paul Mitchell being more high street than premium, I'll be ordering in the next couple of days:)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

My favourite shampoo, conditioner and styling products are Label.m They're great for curly/wavey hair that is prone to frizz, the styling products can tame the curliest of hair and there are a lot of natural ingredients used...oh and the smell!!! The shampoo and conditioner I use (when I get it) reminds me a little of sherbet but with a little something else
They feel fab while using and after.
Fell in love with them after my Toni and Guy stylist started using them on me.Definately recommend giving them a goIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0
