I stupidly managed to pick up and dye my hair the wrong colour, so now I have purple hair and some what resemble ribena....Any ideas to make my hair less purply? Probably won't be able to get any more hair dye until after christmas now

Go over it with a black dye? Or deep brown? Vosene shampoo strips the dye in hair apparently, so you could use it twice a day to see if it works?Toto, I

If you can get to a boots or superdrug then go and buy a product called colour b4.
It is around £10 but it stripped my black hair dye out to my original colour, without bleaching and it doesn't damage your hair.0 -
if you can't get a colour to go over it (dark brown should work well) to go over it, keep washing it.
I had purple hair until recently and it fades ever so quickly from washing0 -

Very true, my purple hair always faded quickly to a brown colour. If you've got some Head and Shoulders shampoo handy, wash it as much as you can stand and it'll strip the colour quickly. I've also heard washing up liquid, lemon juice or bicarbonate soda does a decent job too.
If you can get to a shop however dark brown dye should cover it fine.0 -
I've used vosene on my mum, stripped it out in a few washes.0
