Britannia Overpayment Letter

Don't post on here very often, so please don't flame me if this has been covered already, but today i received a letter from my mortgage provider Britannia.

I overpay my mortgage by standing order each month, as i'm allowed to overpay by 10% per year. To be honest i never get near this, and usually manage about 5%, however, in the letter they're offering me the opportunity to overpay up to 50% of my mortgage during the remainder of 2010 (not much time left is there), and upto a further 50% in 2011 without penalty, so long as its a single lump sum overpayment.

This won't benefit me, but i can't be the only one to receive this letter, and wondered if others had received it who might be able to make hay whilst it's snowing:beer:

What product are you on? We've got a 5 year fixed with them but haven't overpaid to date but would consider something like this.
  • Hi latecomer, i'm on a 2 year fixed until 2012. The letter doesn't appear specific to any particular mortgage, the headline is simply 'Limited Offer: Extension to your flexible payment facility'. says call for more info, must be worth a try, can only think they're trying to reduce their lending total? Hi

I have 6 months to run on a 5 year fix and have overpaid by between £100 and £200 a month for the past 2 1/2 years. No letter sent to me......
