Help! Does the sale of goods act cover us?

Hi everyone,

My partner just phoned me saying that when he chased the delivery of his parents camera, the lady informed him that we would not receive it this side of christmas.

The camera was ordered on the 12th and stated delivery within 5-7 working days (therefore should have been received yesterday at the latest). No update emails were received as a result of the weather.

Where do we stand?

Thanks,
Helen

  • Hi
Dont know exactly legally however I was watching Daybreak this week and a gent on there said if what you have ordered online has not arrived you are within your right to cancel the order or once it is recieved you are entitled to return it and get a full refund. Found this info on MSE under consumer rights

If you or the seller specified a certain delivery date (eg in time for a birthday or christmas) but yur order wasnt delivered on time you've a right to a full refund. If a date wasn't specified at all, the delivery should be within 30 days.
