Lakshmi7 pointed out a photo competition that the bullring was running, so I entered way back at the start of October.

Near the end of October, they added a sub-competition for the best photo of a firework theme, submitted via facebook, expiring at the end of October. I uploaded a photo from my archive, got 5 votes from friends and hey presto a £50 giftcard was mine. Result! I had 4 more votes than second place...

The end of the competition was approaching, and I'd managed to get my photo voted up to third, and suddenly the end date changed to 23/12. I decided to bide my time and really go for votes at the this week.

So, Monday came, I put a couple of begging threads on some forums I frequent, and had a panic - the date had changed to 20/12 (Monday) but didn't state a time. The votes came thick and fast and I went from 96 points to 250. The second place entry had 113, and first was on 127, so it was to be an easy victory, assuming the deadline was 23:59 not 00:01. I went to bed nervous. When I woke up I was in second, and the leader was on over 300. He obviously has a lot of late night friends

Anyway, to keep a long story rambling on, I just got an email confirming that I've won a Canon Camera of unknown model (I hope it's a good one!), which was second prize. First place was a camcorder (I'd rather have the camera), and third place with 116 votes won nothing.

Lots of stress, lots of drama, and a great result.

Pointy Pointy won, I came second with 'cliff jumper', and third was the big wheel. Voting still works, so points people have no don't match up with what they had at the deadline.
