Stagecoach Pension

Good morning, I'm looking at a job at Stagecoach and I would appreciate any information that anyone has about the pension offered to employees of Stagecoach UK Bus.

Thanks, L

You should confirm with Stagecoach but I think they use the Hargreaves Lansdown company pension offering. that offers an employer the option to put "pension" contributions into an ISA as well as only the pension. Don't know whether Stagecoach uses that option. I don't know what employer matching they use, nor whether they operate the desirable salary sacrifice contribution method.

I think it would also depend on what position you would have with the company.

Having said that, I know a guy who is a Bus Driver for First Group and he was asking me about his pension, and it appeared to be a decent enough deal on paper.

Good morning! Purch, the position I would be going in at would be that of assistant operations manager if I am successful at second interview! I don't know if that would make a difference as I haven't ben through the pension scheme etc so far with them, or salary, but £22-26k has been thrown about.

I'm 27 at present and would probably aim to retire about 60-65. I've got 9 years of a military pension but I'm waiting for them to get back to me on how much that is worth.

Thanks again, have a Happy New Year!

I understand from a friend who works there that Stagecoach are negotiating an entirely new pension scheme with the employees due to difficulties in meeting obligations. The original may be frozen. Second hand information I'm afraid.
