Cast Iron Cook Ware

This is probably on the grabbit board but in case like me you don't go there - aldi have some great cheap cast iron casseroles in atm.

I got a 30cm shallow casserole (like the Le cru buffet) for £25. I am normally a Le Creuset snob but at £130 the buffet has always been out my reach and at that price I couldn't not get one for my MIL too! They also have deep round ones and I think oval too!

Thanks for this Rachbc - have been after a really decent but reasonbly priced casserole dish for a while now. Sent my OH this afternoon for the shallow one as he was close to Aldi. Of course he came home with the oval one......I think I've come to terms with it though :-)

(Might pop in after Christmas and see if they have the shallow ones left as well)

They are soooo heavy. Love the look of them but terrified I would drop them when taking out of over with food in.

Oh well.
