thats why i asked if they were choc covered raisins,as there poisonous to dogs as is chocolate, grapes, fruit flakes.please keep an eye on your dog
  • hi
he seems ok but I will keep a eye on him thank you is there anything i should be watching out for. he hasn't been sick.
they where in the middle of the table i thought they was safe.
  • ring the vet for advice - by the time he starts showing symptomsthe damage may be done. If he has eaten more than a few raisins, these are probably a bigger risk than the chocolate, unless it was high in cocoa. He may not vomit at all, but could be poisoned. It may be possible to make him vomit to expel what he has eaten if it hasnt been digested yet, but do ask your vet, and quickly.
  • Yes I'd agree and ring the vet. They can at least tell you what to look out for. Hope he is ok.

Our dog once ate a piece of plastic when we were away on holiday and we had a dog sitter. It was the size of a loo roll and he had to have a big op to have it removed. I guess it must have had sweets or something in but I don't know how the dog sitter missed him chewing it as it was massive (vet kept it to show us!).

They don't know what they should and shouldn't eat, mine are terrible when it comes to food. They can open doors and cupboards too if they work as a terrible twosome!

    All the best.
  • thanks will give them a call now
  • thank you all i've just rang the vets she said to watch for a change in his personality or he doesn't start fitting or vomiting if he does to ring back to bring him in.
