  • Busy day today with chimney been swept this morning so spent the rest of the morning cleaning up! Then a toddler group this afternoon and visiting OH grandma.

You sound like your having a hard time michelle. Join the club I am having a hard time of it with my youngest ds. He turned 2 in august he still can't speak a word and his behaviour is getting worse. We have always done the naughty step with the eldest and it worked well but nothing works with my youngest. It feels a real struggle at the moment. The health visitor is involved she is worried about his lack of speech.

Just sorted some things out for ebay this weekend. Hope they do well.

Sorry to hear that Claire. I think sometimes my trouble is DS2 is too bright. He talked before he was one. One of the first things he said, aged about 9 months was 'turn around' and the nursery staff told me he shocked them as he counted to 5 in front of them aged 13 months. Consequently he knows right how to wind me up. DS1 is more placid and although bright, I sometimes think less likely to test the waters.

You must be worried about your son. I know I am with the weeing himself. Something has sunk in a bit though. He sat for a good bit today drawing in a handwriting practice book for me, and only 2 accidents again today like yesterday, which is better than the 5 every other day this week.

I sometimes feel like if I stopped all the other stuff like the money making, he might behave better, but it scares me that if I stopped altogether we wouldn't manage to do anything nice with them.

Will the health visitor refer you on to speech therapy? My husbands bosses little boy only just really started talking when he was 2. They were worried about that, but he is doing a lot better now. You just sometimes can't see the end in sight can you.

I haven't been back via the survey sites, but to be honest, I've done £5 on Cha again, and £2 earlier on viva, and I am not superwoman. I might have to write that on a post it and stick it on my computer monitor. I'm definitely going to take some time out this weekend and try to have some quality time with DS2 and see if that helps. I can't keep on how I am with him, as it is getting nowhere.

Well all in all I think I have had a pretty good day, I have made £4.38 today over T (3 surveys), VO, OP, DY, Viva and Chow, they all seemed to have liked me today which makes a change.

cat arrives tomorrow so I am rather excited and can't see me getting much done tomorrow but OH is working tomorrow night so if the cat settles ok I may get some done but I am happy enough with the £54 I have made this month so far and must thank you all as if it wasn't for all the encouragement I would not have done nearly as much.

Claire/Michelle sorry to hear you are both having issues with your littles ones, hope you get sorted out, Michelle I only ask how old DS2 is as my niece at 5 year old suddenly started wetting herself for no apparentl reason and her parents were advised to simply not make a fuss and she would grow out of it which she did although they did put her back in pull ups on a night as she did it in the middle of winter and my sil just simply couldn't keep washing the sheets all the time.

  • He was 3 in May Emma. DS1 is 5 next week. I know he is still little really, but it just seems to be going on forever.

DH thinks I am pretty hard on both kids, but then again it is easy to say when you are the parent out the house most of the day. If you aren't quite strict, particularly with boys, they run rings round you. I've seen the hard time my sister has had with her eldest who is now 11.

If it weren't for the washing, and the perma smell of urine as you walk in the bathroom, I would cope better, and the trouble is he can do it if we are out for the day, which just frustrates me as I 'know' he is just doing it. He hasn't had one accident at nursery in 4 weeks, so it is not medical.

I'll get there, and it helps being able to talk through it, so thanks for just letting me moan and get it off my chest.

You have had a fab day today. It always amazes me what we achieve when we all post together compared to going alone. I hope the cat settles well with you tomorrow. An older cat is likely to be calmer than if you got a kitten. I bet your girls will love it. My cat won't let the kids anywhere near him, which is such a shame as they are quite gentle compared to a lot of kids and love him to bits. They were both cuddled up to Murphy on the settee today, so I am happy I did the right thing there at least.

My eldest is four and she was a nightmare so I know what it's like, she is still in pull ups on a night as I simply haven't got time for loads of wet beds although we have had 4 dry nights so we may have to start thinking about it.

    Moan away lol!! :rotfl:

Thanks, been up and down all night with Emily and we were up from 2.30 to 3.40 and then she got up again at 5.50 so i'm really tired. The cat is supposed to be really good with children so fingers crossed, my eldest is staying at her aunties tonight so at least the cat will get some peace.

Chow PF has been awarded I got £23 so well chuffed :D

  • Morning everyone,

After reading your message emma I check chow for the PF fund I was really surprised I have been awarded £15  I haven't really been writing for 2 months just done a couple here amd there, really pleased :T

Michelle, yes he will hopefully start speech therpy soon but first she is sending him for a hearing test. I think his hearing is fine though. I just want to get going with something for him so worried about him started nursery and not being able to communicate with anyone. My eldest is 3 1/2 and he is really bright so I have the complete opposites!

Right off to do some rating. Then got a really busy day. Got OH's sister coming round with her step daughter we are all going to make pizzas.

  • Morning.

I was just coming in as well to say about the chow fund. I got £30 this time. I'm quite pleased with that, but I need to up my game now a bit or I will have none arriving next month.

It's another cha competition today, but the Q rate is killing me already. Such big gaps between. I don't know if I can be bothered to play the game today. Sit by your computer all day and we'll give you an extra couple of quid.

I am the only one up so far. I forgot I set an alarm on my phone, so it woke me at 7, i got up to sort the pup out, and I woke him up so he could do his business outside - no wet bedding from him at least this morning. I managed 8 hours sleep for a change, so I actually feel awake and with it, and it looks to be a nice day out. Definitely need some fresh air today. Let's hope I can sort DS2 out a bit today.

Well done hon with the premium fund. I haven't been on as much this month, but its nice when you still get something. Still ticks over for you.

Try not to worry about your DS too much. I think if he couldn't hear well, you would have some awareness of it by now. Whatever is the problem, now they are on the case they will track it down and help you. Nursery will probably be also really supportive. I've talked to mine about DS2 and we'll get there.
