Hi everyone, I've been doing this for a couple of years now, and have managed it each time. It's so great to be able to see how much I'm spending on others and how that can be balanced out with a bit of thought and ingenuity!

So for this year I shall be doing the same and keeping a full record of what I've done! So, from 1st January 2011, I have:

    1. Joined the Credit Union Christmas club, where I pay £10 per month until November and I can either get out £107 (£110 less £2 joining fee and £1 balance), or up to 3 times that amount in a loan, which has a really low rate of interest to pay back next year.
    2. Created a new spreadsheet for me to keep track of birthdays and events during the year so I can write down what I buy and how much and then set that against money made or vouchers used.
    3. Used £20 given to me when I was taxi driver for a relative as money for buying presents. I even have it in a separate purse in my handbag! So far I've spent just under £10 when Boots had their 75% sale a couple of weeks ago!

And during this year I will:

    1. Continue to complete surveys online for My Survey and Valued Opinions (just remember to cash in VO a lot sooner than last year as voucher didn't arrive in time for Xmas!)
    2. Keep collecting Coke Zone codes to transfer them to points so I can get either HMV or New Look vouchers.
    3. Continue with mystery shopping and possibly join more companies.

I love the challenges that have been set so far and so I’ve done 1 from January and will continue during the year and I love the ‘roadkill’ challenge, so will have a go at that too!

    Good Luck Everyone!! QB xx

Hiya Queen Bee - you've been hiding and now you're here, you're not allowed to hide anymore ;). Please post regularly we love to here how things are going, it helps motivate us too :D

Well done on all you've achieved - you've done a wonderful job. I must admit, I did go a bit wild in the boots 50% sale, but I was treating myself to perfume, and it was a bargain so I'm allowed. Not much in my 75% sale - how did you find it?

Sam that so kind to offer to help. That's what I love about this site. Someone kindly offered me a £15 Red letterdays Voucher today, because mine expired before it even got emailed to me, that is sooo nice. I'm a happy girly today.:)

What a lovely thing for someone to do. I can imagine the smile it put on your face. A lovely woman sent me a ben 10 water gun which she managed to get a couple of reduced from £10.xx to £1 as my tesco did not have any in, i was very very greatful and it ended up being one of my ds1 favourite presents :D
