  • Hi all, sorry to those who are having a hard time - sending (((hugs))) and good wishes to those with poorly or injured ones to look after.

Got my second redeem on BP last night and finally got my cashback paid through quidco for the holiday we took in July last year - I had almost given up hope of getting it but it has boosted my Christmas fund so I am very happy :)

It does cost a fee to have a Buy it now price. But you have to take that into consideration to whether or not it is worth is compated to how much you are going to make from selling the hob.

You have a price you would like? Ask him what he is prepared to pay, haggle a bit and then get him to pay in cash when he collects it (surely it is a collection only piece???) That way you can just cancel your listing early and don't have to pay the ebay final value fees. Yes I know this is naughty but!

Economy; careful management; providence. Whether you call it thrifty or frugality it all comes down to getting more for your money.
  • I'd do the same diddly. If it is cash on collection keep away from ebay as it can all get a bit complicated. See it as selling on Gumtree, BIN price, cash on collection, no ebay/paypal fees, and if he doesn't come to collect it you haven't lost anything.

Good morning everyone else. Thank you for all of your kind words yesterday. I think he is feeling battered and bruised today but left him to it and went to work. If he wants more sympathy he can get it from his mother!

Hope you're all having a good day saving and spending wisely!

Valentines day coming up soon and still haven't found him anything so will have a little look online at lunch and see what there is. Would love to make him something little, or perhaps a flavoured vodka would be easier....

Thanks all. I've put it as an option of either collect or post. So do you reckon I reply and say "I'll accept £?? as a buy it now - either cash on pick up or pay via paypal now. I'll take it off ebay either when the paypal funds are through or once the hob has been picked up." Or something like that???

I have really messed up with bingoport:( I didn't realise the games had to be played in a week so I have got enough points but not played enough. I am going to have to play about 30 games in one go:eek: does the week start on a certain day or from the time you redeem?

I also missed out on mysurvey points last night. I started a survey and for once qualified but had to go out half way through. when I came back it had closed:mad:

AND...I have played loads on BP this morning and not one a thing:(

so I am feeling very sorry for myself on the money making front:rotfl:

No you don't have to deposit or add any bank/card details to join Bingoport. It is all free, you play for points and can exchange these for Amazon vouchers or bingo credits for paying sites. I can refer you to bingoport if you would like - pm me.

I thought I was being good and read that post first but I think I may have googled bingoport and pressed on the link in google, it says bingoport but when u press join now it takes you to one of the paying bingo sites and gets you to join that! Only when you click on the 'how to earn amazon voucher click HERE' does it take you to bingoport... ok lesson learnt! Have managed to withdraw my deposit and will close it down as soon as thats all sorted back in the bank.

Will PM you now with my email to refer me :D. Thanks for your help.
