Took all my photos of dd's clothes, my wedding shoes, wedding bag and tiara. Dress is going too, but it's so heavy :( not sure what to do about packaging and postage.

Well done for sorting through things to put on ebay.

With the wedding dress I would put it in one of those dry cleaning type bags or dust cover type bags (sorry not sure what the proper name is ) and then carefully fold in half then wrap it in a bion liner. I say bin liner because the good quality ones don't rip and provide enough protection and padding incase it gets damaged,

depending on the the price you sell it for would probably depend on the service you choose. think recorded/special delivery would be around £15. If youhave a set of accurate bathroom scales you could weigh it and use the royal mail website to judge the cost of postage?

Bunbun - It took me about four hours to make two sock monkeys - they're not as easy as they look are they?

Poohspals - have you made any polls and opinions on 2looony yet? We can reply and you'll get the points for making it, and extra points for replys. Also, if you answer ours with over 80 words (paste it into a word doc and do a word count to make sure) you will get extra points for that too. I'm over 40.000 now but I have made lots of 80 word opinions and my own polls and opinions to go on, so I'm hoping i'm not too far off. I only redeemed 11 days ago. It can be done - but you have to put effort in.

I hope you feel much better soon - Is your migraine still lingering? - mine last for 5 days sometimes.

I was suffering with my ibs rather than a migraine - I had a really good sleep last night -went to bed at the same time as my 5 year old - approx 7pm last night and woke up at 10am this morning. I just felt really tired all day for 3 days so feel better now. I have got opinions on T'luna that people are responding to. I also ensure that everything I write is over 80 words - I write it out in word to check the word count and then I paste it across to t'luna.

If you've no bin liners about inside out Next or M&S carrier bags are very good quality for posting clothing (with the handles cut off to make them thinner to go through the PO's measuring jobby ).

Just a flying visit to the last page as Ebay listing. Had to change username (I'm the stasher of coke bottle finds under the twins pram!) ;)

Note to self - hide stuff better. Hannah Montana perfume set for DD £5 to £2.50 in Boots, bought with points, then found by DD. Then again it was to replace the Xmas perfume broken by boy twin (aka Gordon Bash from Hedz on CbbC)

Gotta go, more listing - not in the mood for this often. :)

you only get 100 points on 50 comments over 80 words so I have done a table of 50 so i know how many I have done.
Does there month start at the beginning? so the max pts starts again on the 1st? Do you get pts on the 1st for opinions that then go over 51 for example of only for new opinions started?

Bunbun2/tranmererovers/twinklelittlestar – I am also on Toluna so will have a look for you if I haven’t already added you – my user name is the same as it is on here.

NickyBo/pammyj74 – what is your Toluna user name as I’m happy to help with the surveys.

GeorgieGirl2012 – What is Green Metropolis? I have alot of books that may do better on there than they could on Ebay.

I feel that I have such a lot to catch up on as I've not been well for the last few days and last night I was asleep by 7pm - managed to catch up on all these posts but now I have my eye on T'luna for an hour and then BP. I've managed to redeem for last 2 weeks on BP but missed a couple of days this week so don't expect to be able to do it again. I'm at 38k on T'luna so I'm really impressed that people have already managed to redeem from there - not sure where I am going wrong.

hi poohspals I am already following you and you are following me on loony (i am Tan34 on there) stick with it. Do some opinions as well as the surveys, and you will get there.

Big thank you to all you wonderful people who have added opinions the last day or so. nicky and savvybunny and twinklekat i did some of yours this morning. Anyone else that needs opinions just ask. I am trying to go through the list and do some on each but if anyone is struggling on their numbers for particular opinions let me know.

Added a new opinion last night, ty to those who have already responded . I haven't had any points for posting the 3 opinions yet butI have had the bonus points (500 points on one for getting over 20 replies, and 500 + another 1000 points for getting over 20 and then over 30 on another!)

Had a bit of a nightmare with the ebay stuff. One buyer who has bought a baby bumbo now wants me to post it (even though i said collection only!). So i now have to find a suitable box or something to post it in.

Also worried I have not charged enough for another item. never mind learning experience anyway.

Good luck to all with items ending today, hope everyone is doing ok with surveys etc. I have enough to redeem again this week on bp so thrilled with that. Have we found out who lisab is yet? she put a post on bp saying could she change her username as she was from mse and wouldn't be recognised, but dont know if she is from this thread. Noticed she was chatting in one of the rooms last night. Come and say hello Lisa if you read this we dont bite - much!

sorry to be off topic but am wondering if anyone can help. I am trying to order some stuff from IWOOT and use a gift voucher to pay. however I can't see anywhere to enter the voucher details. i have a code and a password. I got the voucher from QYPE and although it was a while ago it says they don't expire so should be valid. of course they are not open till tomorrow so can't ring and ask. the sale ends soon (and free delivery) so don't want to miss it.

Twinkle, you could always cancel the transaction as this is not how you wanted send it & you should get your fees back - not sure if you could then 2nd chance offer to the next bidder? If not & you then relist I'm pretty sure you get your listing fee refunded.

Otherwise bubble wrap & a strong bin liner is fine for a Bumbo, I'm sure I posted one of my old ones like that, lighter too for postage.

  • Hi Elysia, sorry I didn't see your question about the blog earlier - the blog is up and running (thank you for your help :) ) but I still haven't updated it with anything yet been too busy making money for Christmas and all occasions.

I was going to say, I managed to order quite a bit in the Next sale for DD and the lack of sleep was worth it, but they sent all the items individually which means I have loads of these Next delivery bags so I am going to get on a list some of dd's clothes tonight. Do you think wrapping paper with the white side out would be suitable to package up boxy items?

With ebay I found the last week not great for selling, one item did considerably well but the other two did very badly. I'm holding off selling some of the kids toys that are still in packaging until spring as the sales have reduced the prices quite a bit.
