experian have amended all but one entry on my file this is kensington mortgages, who still show a balance and demand i ring them before they alter the entry, when they caused months of hassle pre and post br by not taking possession of the property despite letters and phone calls almost daily.

I also found out that egg had sold on a debt 3 months after my br!!!! the company who brought the debt were apologetic and amended the entry straight away.

I am going to ring kensington tomorrow but just wondered if we can do anything more serious if they still refuse to update my file?

still awaiting equifax's answer to same query their report still shows alll the accounts as defaulted!!!

AAAAARGH advice welcomed

  • hi both thanks for the reply,

I have rung them today and the chap I spoke to was nice enough and said the outstanding balance doesnt get erased for 6 years post br so I emailed them with a copy of a letter stating this account and the resulting shortfall formed part of the bankruptcy, can any of you confirm I am right in thinking this as I have no interest in this property at all and its been sold on?

Or does the shortfall remain on record until it drops off the file? the chap said the account balance shows as zero on their records?

    Andy
