I am currently in a DMP and i am get frustrated to say the least i really want a mortgage which is not possible at the moment!!! my DF date is April 2010 but i hope with saving a bit here and there i might be able to end it a year sooner, but none the less house prices are forever rising and i live in Reading where even the cheapest of houses are around the 150k mark
even with me and my sister being on about 20k which is meant to be a good wage we could not afford this!!!

Hi there,
I'm sort of in the same position although i do currently have a mortgage taken out before my DMP began, we want to sell the existing flat we have and purchase a house as we want 2 start a family
there are lenders that will lend whilst in a DMP but we'll have to pay a higher rate
best wishes

Ah... I see your from Reading... I'm not sure if it will help but I was driving through somewhere last week (either Reading or Camberley) that has an independent mortgage broker, who I think help people with BR, IVA's & DMP's etc. Perhaps a quick look on yell.com will help? It was buying my house last year that caused me to get into debt... but it will be worth it in the end!£2 Coin Savings = £0.23
