Free carling c2 lager.

Don't know if I am posting this in the right place as you have to spend about £2.99 in the first place.

However at the moment Carling are running a try me free offer on four packs of Carling c2 lager. Got mine in Sainsburys.

Just buy it, keep the receipt and fill in the form saying you didn't like it and they will refund the purchase price, but not the postage to send the form off.

Got my refund on saturday. The lagers only 2% by volume but it tastes o.k. Keep an eye out for it next time you are in supermarket or off-licence.

    Welcome to MSE.
There is another forum where this should have been posted, I tried to find it but failed. Hopefully someone will point you in the right direction.
It will probably be moved and even merged if it is a repeat post.
Either way, still a good post. Thanks

..but what happens if everyone says they hate it, and then they decide to stop making it :rotfl:

They make another lager up, with an equally generous offer.

Do critisise what they say, and what they do, especially if what they say is different to what they do. They can help that"

I saw this in the off licence the other night (though not on the try me free offer). Seems like a bizarre product to bring out, especially as Helneken upped the %age recently as drinkers weren't buying the stuff at 3% so they upped it to 5%. Carling have obviously decided there's a gap in the market, but I can't see this stuff having much of a market (except for designated drivers, who can now have 2 pints rather than 1).

Not that I'm going to turn it down for free of course (4 free cans @ 2% is, after all, the same as 2 free cans @ 4%)! I'm pretty sure I know what I'm going to write when they ask why I didn't like it, even though I haven't even bought it yet...

can I claim for new shoes as well?

    it needs it for strength
  • more Carling sold in this country than any other beer apparently... maybe if there's a decent lower alcohol beer down the pub there'll be less 'wife beating' going on :rotfl:

IIRC C2 is actually only 1 Unit per pint, so you can have 4 pints and still drive (theoretically - althought I would advise it to be on the safe side).
