I got three of these - for my three boys. They are very cute indeed. The only problem is that they are very difficult to turn inside out to 'hatch' out of the shell and go back in again - particularly for little children. I take issue with the "2 easy steps" bit! The opening down the back is too small and I've already had to give one of them some 'surgery' with a needle and thread.

They had loads in my Sainsburys last week and now none left at all. I wish I'd got more now that I've seen what they are going for on Ebay - more than the price of the washing tablets. I could have had 'free' washing for a while. It reminds me of the free heat-sensitive Gromit mugs with Tea bags last year.

After weeks of searching, I finally found them in my local Co-op last week :j

That's two little boys (and a baby who doesn't know about 'I want' yet) who will be very happy when they open their stockings :D

Haven't been down that aisle anywhere since, but up to that point not even the Sainsburys with the big Mumble poster outside had any

  • I got one of these when I ordered my shopping online at Tesco. I put a note on the item saying don't want it if it doesn't include a penguin! but I got a penguin. Thanks OP

John Lewis have them online for £24.95 (only Mumble in stock though at the moment) plus you get 5% through Quidco for toys. I want one!

ETA: If you search through Kelkoo it says it is £29.95 at John Lewis... but direct through the site it's cheaper.

We've had our Happy Feet [free from the Non-Bio packs] for a couple of weeks now, and the seam between the head and body at the back has come unstitched.

I am sure that Unilever will sort us out with a replacement BUT in coming unstitched the wooly stuffing is exposed. If this was given to a young child there is a real risk that they could choke on the stuffing!

So be warned - check the seams regularly if you are giving this to a baby to snuggle up to, as I suspect that not all of them have been manufactured to the rigerous standards you would hope for an "all ages" toy.

    YMMV - Rufus.

I have yet to find one of these little cuties to add to my pengy collection.
If anyone knows where I can get one in North Manchester area please let me know!
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

Woolworths stock several Happy Feet items- Dancing Mumble, wind-up Mumble/Ramone and a cuddly one too. Didn't take much notice of the price though, may be on their website?

Chocolate Weetos had a free Happy Feet "moving movie card" inside

The hatching Mumbles are selling for over £5 on eBay (!)
