It's that loan that is crippling you financially. Is there anything you can do to reduce the payments - have you got anything you can sell to pay any of it off early?0

Do you live on your own? Could you get a single person discount for council tax?
Don't mean to be cheeky but what is balance of your loan? You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs

I do live alone so i already get a reduced rate on my council tax.
I have a pile of books to put on amazon and a few bits to sell on ebay. I have also started to do some work from home but cannot get a second job because my shift pattern is completely erratic (unfortunately).
I have also signed up to quidoco, pigsback and greasy palm.
its not cheeky mics-chick. the loan balance is 23709.00DFW Nerd no 546

It's not going to help to find you more money but have a good look at your mbna card. Is you monthly payment ridiculously low? You may find that your payments are barely covering the interest.
Can't offer any advice other than to sell stuff on Ebay/Amazon and chisel away at the cards as much as you can and get yourself into a better bargaining position.I have plenty of willpower - it's won't power I need.
