Any having issue with delays with Royal mail?

A special delivery item was sent to me from UK on Monday, it said yesterday it was to be delivered before 1pm, it never came and tracking has changed to it's progressing through our network. RM can't tell me anything about it either which is useful.

I sent a Special delivery item yesterday to England, it's just got delivered which makes me think there is an issue here at our end although I've got regular mail ok.

The next day delviery guarantee has been suspended a few weeks ago. Some of my RMSD's took 4 days to arrive ATM.

Received a next day delivery item today----6 days after it was due to be received----usual Royal Mail customer service---no one knows anything.:mad:

I'm probably a voice in the wilderness but I would have to commend Royal Mail, some of Santa's presents arrived last night at 6:30pm. I've also had deliveries from DHL and Countrywide Freight, in fact the only one we're having problems with are City Link (as usual). I mentioned this in work and it was amazing how many knew where their depot is. Unfortunately they can't be bothered to answer calls or emails so other arrangements have had to be made and we won't be accepting delivery when and if it turns up.

I'm waiting for something that was sent on 26 th November, it will be in a backlog somewhere....

Unfortunately we live well in the sticks and haven't had a delivery from Royal Mail or any courier in over a week, there is around a foot of snow on the country roads around Ballydrain and Ardmillan and they are just not making deliveries!

Does anyone know if you can collect your mail from the sorting office? We are now seriously in danger of having no Santa on Saturday!!!

I would have thought you could may need some ID and make sure you go in hours they are open not PO hours just collection hours mine are only around 4 hours

Just spoke to our work post man - you need to contact your local sorting office and arrange with them to collect your post but it should be no problem.

Apparently there is no point just turning up, you have to make an arrangement. I have been phoning Newtownards and it is constantly engaged, but for anyone else in the area, the number is 91 813800!
