being chased for someone elses debt

Please help, I received a letter from Fredrickson Int on behalf of Arrow global at the end of November,not sure of wht it was I rang the number given on the letter and was told that I had an outstanding debt from an Orange mobile phione account in 2006, when I asked for further details they told me it was registered to an address in Manchester, I explained that I had never lived in Manchester nor had I ever had an account with orange, the guy on the phone was really nasty and said I had 5 days to pay up or prove it wasnt me. I sent a letter and got straight on the phone to Orange who said there was nothing they could do as the debt hd now been 'sold' to Arrow global. after going ballistic for around 20minutes I realised I was getting nowhere and the supervisor on duty would not even speak to me. I asked how they dare give my address details to this company as i am now an Orange customer but only within the last 12 months and they had no answer whatsoever. a few days later I recieved another letter from Fredrickson Int demanding the money. again I rang up and explained that as requested by them I had sent a letter disputing the debt, they claimed never to have recieved the letter so i sent it again yet today i have received yet another letter, i have seen the template letter which I can send but am concerned that they will just deny receiving that also and carry on demanding/send in a baliff. this is causing me so much distress it is untrue! any suggestions on how to get these cretins off my back? many thanks

Send the prove-it letter. If they do not prove the debt and do not cease collection activity, report them to the OFT.
