Hi
Last December I went bankrupt for over £50000. I was unemployed at the time and was still unemployed earlier this year when a friend offered me some money to hopefully pay of a certain pence in the pound to my creditors and then to close all my accounts...This was called a FTVA, similar to a IVA, but its a proposal that I made to my creditors that it would be better of them excepting a certain pence in the £, then to write of the rest of the debt and close the accounts down..This went to court and a certain percetage had to agree for this proposal to go ahead, which it fortunately did....The majority of my creditors excepted this, and a cheque from my friend was sent off to my official recievors to split and pay a percentage to my creditors then close all the accounts down.... After months of nothing happening really and me chasing the official receivors finally the cheques we're paid out to my creditors, meaning then that all my accounts shold now be closed as agreed in court!!!!!!!
So heres where I need some help or advise. I've recieved a statement from one of my old supposidly closed account today stating I had paid some money but payments we're overdue, acount was clearly open again.....How and what letter do you suggest I can put together to all of my creditors, to state that they have accepted myproposal and the accounts should now be closed, and updated on my creditor report. So I can move on with my life. Please feel free to word it anyway possible or give me advise of what to say. Perhaps even I could get documentation from my Official recievor backing up this letter, so I can close these accounts...Again any help or advise would be welcomed.
Many Thanks
Matt

I'd suggest that a credit file clean up is needed - it will clean up credit file and ensure that the companies write off any balance at the same time.
