Somebody who had nothing

I have just heard some sad news, somebody who had nothing but love and care for others has been found dead in the cold weather. This for me is a big wake up call as it just proves that if you do not have your health you have nothing...................Sad as I am to post this I can't express how I feel, this person lived without the glory of modern day life in a humble way making ends meet day to day............can't take anything into this world and we sure as hell can't take anything out, so live for today my friends, live for today and be happy with the fact your friends and family love you more then any money or riches you may hold. Love each other as you are blessed with riches if you have people around you care and love you, money is not the route to happiness xxxxx love you guys just love each other after all it is Christmas :grouphug:

these sort of things always get me....my dad was an alcoholic, and he alienated himself from everyone who cared about him, from what we can establish he drank himself to death over christmas and wasn't found till Feb...when neighbours reported the offensive smell from his flat. I had been estranged from him for many many years (despite my best efforts he did not want to know), I still feel very very sad that he had to die alone and cold.

Different circumstances I know, but everyone deserves to be cared for at the end of their life, I wouldn't wish a lonely death on my worst enemy

Oh sweet heart I am sorry you did not get a chance to say goodbye to your dad, I feel for you so much as it is hard to loose somebody you care for xx I feel bad about this person as it is so sad, lived without riches and died alone xx take care and please have the best Christmas ever xxxxx

thanks, its a few years ago now, but still hurts.

I make a point of speaking to all the doddery old folk I see round about, and even the batty old lady downstairs, I know that I may be the only person they speak to all day. My ex thinks I am nutty as a fruit cake, but if it means that they don't feel quite so lonely I think its my duty!!

Its taken me 1 previous BR and now an IVA to realise the above is true and you know what now I have, the thought of going BR again or entering into an IVA no longer scares me:T

so sad, I am crying typing this Now:( I expect we have all lost someone dear/close to us and it does hurt.
And here here - money is not the route to happiness.
I have a saying " every day I wake up, I am rich" and I feel that this is true. We came into to this world with nothing, we go out with nothing. Greed takes over in my opinion. I have learnt some very very important lessons in my life and one is to value your nearest and dearest. Time cannot be bought.
