Thanks everyone for doing the answers.
I went on the website this morning to do the Advent Calendar comp and saw this competition.
I thought it was just the Alfie Boe question, then scrolled down and saw the rest!!!! so I thought I'd come back to it this afternoon, ie after lunch, only for you guys to have done all the hard work.
Thanks!!!“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”

Which contemporary composer admitted to us that he’d starred in a McDonald’s advert as a child?
I got Eric Whitacre for this one from HERE0 -
Q: Classic FM Magazine launched their new look at the start of October, but which famous composer adorned the cover?
Are you sure the answer to this is Edward Elgar?
I found THIS as the October magazine cover picture.
The guy on the left at the bottom is a young Vaughan Williams, see HERE. I can't work out who the one on the right is but it doesn't look like any pictures I can find of Elgar.
Have I got the wrong cover?
EDIT: Now found THIS, which shows the "New look" magazine cover and the pic is Elgar. But my other pic is what I find when searching Classic FM site for "October 2010 magazine cover" So which is really the October cover?
EDIT2: Aha, THIS article shows the "New Look" cover but looking closely at the bottom right corner it can be seen as the NOVEMBER issue. So, when they say "launched their new look at the start of October" does this refer to the November issue released at the beginning of October? Probably.0 -
Yep, the new look issue was the November cover dated one. Mags tend to be dated a month or so in front.'...luck came to those who left a space for it.' Terry Pratchett0
