I know th answer is going to be no but am going to ask anyway
:o
My husband's (adult) nephew and his girlfriend, who we've only met once (long story regarding OH's very odd family) have just sent my children presents for Christmas. My children are 19, 17 and 14 so not babies (which makes it all a bit worse) and we haven't sent them anything
Is there anywhere that I could get a little food hamper / flowers delivered by Friday do you reckon ?????? Gawd don't you hate it when that happens

Interflora will probabaly be able to do it. I ordered flowers for my father on Friday, to be delivered Monday when I realised I wouldn't be able to travel because of the snow.
They don't just do flowers either! It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Oh dear hate it when things like that happen. Have you tried calling a local florist near to them, they should still be able to deliver might even be able to deliver you a festive table arrangement/basket. Interflora were also doing hampers although this might be more of a risk as they are likely to use couriers.
Also my local majestic wines will deliver a case if you order on the phone, sure a local laithwaites will do the same. Just tell them how much you want to spend and they will assemble a case for you. Again not sure whether they will have any space left to deliver.
Will be calling them myself later as my internet ordered wine is still out for delivery from virgin wines!
Good luck.0 -

When you say 'haven't sent them anything' have you sent a Xmas card?
Personally if I was in the same situation I would make sure I had sent them a Xmas card and make sure my children send them a thank you letter/card. I would then wait until they have children and send their children gifts from then on.
I know my children are younger but they get gifts from my cousins etc but we never use to swap gifts so I just make sure I send them a card & a thank you. When they have children I will send their children gifts.SAHM Mummy tods (born Oct 2007) and dd (born June 2010)0 -
Definitely give Interflora a ring. I was panicking as my MIL pressie hadn't arrived and I had no way of getting it to her on time. I phoned last night and spoke to a really helpful lady about what I could do. Made a decision and paid for some wine and chocolates that can be delivered from local shop as they couldn't guarantee any of the hampers etc would get there. They're customer service was superb.0

If they've only sent presents to the children and not to you then I wouldn't feel obliged to send them something in return. Sounds like they have a 'children only' policy so probably won't mind if you say you do the same thing - and just make sure the kids ring them or send a note to say thank you.
If you really feel you have to get something for them then would agree that a local florist would be a safer bet then ordering something to be delivered. Sometimes local grocers will do hampers as well but might be a bit harder to ring round them and less chance of them doing regular deliveries.0 -

Yes have sent a card, just not a gift. My DD's and DS always do thank you letters so those will go in the New Year. OH says not to bother (thinks they may want to come and stay next year and it's an ulterior motive :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) but I just feel a bit bad
I'm absolutely certain they haven't given to reecive but even so ..... It's hard when I am very close to my family and wouldn't dream of not sending Christmas gifts but should have got used to OH's lot after 23 years !!!
Thanks for all the very helpful advice though - will see if there's something not too expensive that I can get organised.0 -
On the Waitrose website they have a next day flower delivery service from about £35 all in. HTH.[0
