Does anyone know if Playstation 3 Consoles will be reduced in the sales?

Does anyone have any inside knowledge on whether PS3 consoles will be reduced in the sales? I saw that the Play.com sale started today and their prices on PS3 bundles are unchanged, does anyone know if any of the big games retailers are going to be doing offers that will make it worth me waiting till after Christmas?

Speculation only, but no, don't expect too much change:

1) January New Year sales are an out of date concept, good deals are as much in the run up to Christmas as it is the most important time of year for retailers.
2) Retailers make only a small amount on consoles, so there isn't much margin to offer discounts.
3) Sony are unlikely to make an official price cut because:

i) PS3 still has high production cost
ii) It would be bad PR to make an official price cut just after Christmas (March-April is maybe more realistic, but it's Sony so I guess there is a small chance they could announce a price cut at CES in January, just don't expect it to happen)

Best option is to be on the look out for the best bundles and cashback deals if there are any.
