Soap making

I have quite successfully made some soap however some of it has not come out quite as I would have liked shapewise. What's the best way to melt it so I can reshape it?

As long as its glycerine based it should be ok in the microwave as long as you keep an eye on it and cover with cling film so moisture doesn't escape and ruin it. Been a few years though since made myself0

How did you make it? There is a big difference between melt and pour soap, in which you start with a block of gylcerine soap, and hot or cold process soap starting with lye and fat.
If it is M&P you can melt it gently in the microwave though you may to add need more scent as the oils evaporate when heated, but 'proper' soap apparently won't melt. There is a process called 'rebatching' which can apparently help to rescue a dodgy batch, but having never made soap from scratch I don't know much more than that!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0 -

I've never tried this myself but the answer may be in the existing thread
