Does anyone here know/have a recipe for royal shortcrust pastry?
I believe it is terribly yummy and includes icing sugar and corn flour among other things....

I think I made that at school once, but it was called Rose Crust by my cookery teacher. I'd love the recipe too if anyone knows it?!Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0

I've never heard of this pastry, sorry. When I want to make a sweet, enriched pastry, escpecially for mince pies
I use one similar to this. It was given to me by MIL and uses icing sugar. :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Rose Crust Pastry
225 g Plain Flour
85g Cornflour
85g Icing Sugar
225g Margarine
1 Egg
Cream fat & sugar.
Stir in flour & cornflour.
Bind with an egg.
Leave to rest in fridge for 20 mins.
Roll out using lots of flour.
Bake at 180C for 10-12mins until pastry is only just firm & slightly golden crust, do not overcook.0
