How do you present you hampers??

I am making a number of hampers this year. For my sister who is expecting a baby in January, for my niece and several others.

My question is - after you have covered them in cellophane, do you wrap them again in wrapping paper? Or do you just wrap them in paper to start with?

I am not sure the best way to go about it!!

I am putting mine in cellophane, and then I think I will just shove them in a gift bag. I might wrap the kids ones because kids love opening things, but for the adults, I think I will just leave it.

  • I would get some nice bow material , you know like they use in the florest and then you could just make it look pretty. maybe mix two colours. I am lucky, my florest is going to do the bows for me so they are nice and professional. very cheap too. Perhapse better to try local independant florist as oppose to branded one.
Wildly my mind beats against you, yet the soul obeys. :heartpuls

Sorry if it was in the other thread, but where do you get your cellophane from?

The only stuff I've managed to track down is very narrow.

    Thanks

I have got mine from a seller on ebay, flower hour her shop was called. I would have bought it from the local florists, but I wanted pattened cellophane, I paid just shy of £5 for 10m

Can vouch for Flower Hour being fab - got mine the other day and considering I was quoted £1.50 per meter by my local florist it saved me a fortune - the £5 approx includes postage too & comes very well packed up

  • I am thinking about wrapping all the bits separately before putting them in the basket.. and then wrapping in cellophane...

That plan could change though because I get bored of wrapping presents really quickly!

I dont think it needs to look neat. Last year I wrapped mine and then scrunched it at the top and dressed with ribbons etc.......they looked so professional

I just bought some of these from this seller as very reasonable. Charges additional 20p per pack of bows so I got 10 bows for £3.10.

I have posted this on another thread and I honestly have no connection with this seller just wanted to pass on what I had found.
