Mixed meat stock?
Fruball
I need to free up some space in my freezer and have some bones I was saving to make stock but don't really have enough of either to make a decent amount so I was wondering...
Would the flavour be good if I make stock from a mix of lamb and chicken bones to make soup?
If so, what other ingredients shall I use?
Thanks OSers

I honestly don't know. I would be interested to know how it turns out if you do try it though! You probably want to play to the lamb flavours, as they are strongest. I would probably add things like rosemary and garlic to the normal stock veggies.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

Chicken stock tends to be bland, so you can combine it with something else. Lamb is stronger, although nothing like as strong as beef.
Add basic vegetables like sliced onion, carrots cut into large sticks, and a stick of celery. Herbs are a matter of taste, although parsley is usually a given.
Google stock recipes, and you'll find plenty of ideas."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
i would just bung it all in together with trimmings of any veg u have and a bay leaf and make stock, freeze it and im sure it will be fine for normal family cooking as long as u dont expect the flavours to be refinedMember 1145 Sealed Pot Challenge No4
