My husband and I pay a IPA has part of our bankruptcy from which we were discharged last month. |Due to me being diagnosed with cancer and work now changing my pay to half pay the OR has stopped the payments. My question is Does the time that we do not pay (say 6 months) contribute to the 3 years of payments, or do we still have to pay a total of 3 years? My payments didnt start until 3 months after I was made bankrupt and my husbands 4 months. Do we pay 3 years from the first payment or from the bankruptcy date? Thanks xxx

I think it runs for three years from the start of the IPA, if your circumstances change the IPA changes with it. Good luck in getting better and try not to stress. I think that if your payments have stopped and your income remains the same for the period you have left on the IPA then that is it you pay no mire, if your wages go back to normal then they would resume the IPA payments but only until the end of the 3 year period xxIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0 -
Just to confirm what Now has said you have the IPA for 36 months from the first payment and if you have a change in circumstances the IPA can be adjusted to suit up, down or suspended (as yours is). The suspended months count towards the 36 months.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
