  • If you have had any charges applied to any of your credit accounts, have you thought of reclaiming some of those charges to raise cash to reduce your debts?

Again, don't want it to seem like I'm judging you but I too think that you ought to face up to your responsibility - you spent the money now you need to pay it back. Just imagine the sense of pride and self worth when the debt is behind you! Also, if you declare yourself bankrupt, will you be tempted to spend again and get into the same situation again? By not paying the debt back it won't really "hurt" you.

    Hi
I dont have a clue whether you can sell 50% to gf for a pound but if so id be very surprised if she was nt liable for capital gains tax for the figure between one pound and the current market value of her share....i dont know but its another angle to check before you move on this

I'm really suprised that your thinking of going down the bankrupt route, selling your share of your house for £1 to your GF could be a big mistake, sorry to say it but if things changed in your relationship...

How about agreeing to freeze the interest on your loans and CC and agree a payment plan with them?

Like mentioned before it can effect you getting another job, I'm not sure but would not be suprised if your current employer will find out aswell.

I'm new on here and new to this, I'm nearing my lightbulb moment, reading these forums is giving me such inspiration to clear my debt and look at the positives I have - great site with great people
