Attachment of earnings for CCJ
lotsaquestions
I recently got a ccj to do with a previous loan i had.
As i had moved house it took a while for mail to catch up with me and the court had put an attachment of earnings in place through my employer. The form i receivesd saiD £100 a month, yet the attachment said £30 a week)
They sent my employer a copy of this a few weeks ago, this also stated that there was a protected income of £280 odd pounds - so they only were to take this if wages were higher
Now a few weeks ago i was on holiday from work - before the aoe. However my pay dept made a mess up and failed to pay my holiday pay
Now this week i have got my holiday pay in with my wages (*weekly pay) However payroll have taken 3 lots of the attachment of earnings out in one go. On querying this they said they were backdating it to the daye they rec the letter from the court at the beginning of Dec.
Bear in mind my wages last week were £295, so if they had taken last weeks out it wouldve left me with less than the protected income
Where do i stand on this? A week before xmas and we are sking again due to an extra £60 disappearing from pay packet- which was for food kids presents etc

Have they left you with £280 for every week they have deducted income? [I am assuming your protected income is £280/week and not£280/month]Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0
