Christmas Cookie Tree quick pour icing

Yay, finally snowed in here so am going to make some christmas cookie trees for presents, I got the pack from etsy so all in american measures etc
What I wanted to ask was its suggests using quick pour icing as it is nice and glossy, does any one have a good recipe? I don't want icing that'll go smudgy if you see what I mean, for example when the tree is packed in its cellophane.
Any thoughts?

I would probably use royal icing so it coats them nicely and goes nice and glossy. Im sure someone will be along later to give better advice.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0
