Protein bars are used before workout or after workout for the muscles especially if you've done any weight training. Most people tend to take whey protein if they're not taking in enough protein in their normal food (as you can't really expect everyone to eat sufficient chicken or fish or substitutes like quorn to get the daily requirement of protein for their workout days), hence giving their sore muscles the 'nutrition' they need. They're not meant to be used as meal replacements, they're protein bars.

Thank you. I'm going to be doing some serious swimming training soon for a sea swim, they will be handy then. :)

Yeh they would be as I imagine your arms would be quite sore from all that swimming.:p I don't know how good these sculptress bars are though in terms of protein:carbs:fat ratio as obviously you wouldn't want something that has bad carbs and bad fat (yeh there is such thing as good fat lol). Sorry, im hijacking the thread with fitness talk, but all the best anyway. :)
