I have just obtained my credit file as looking to apply for a new c/card.
However just realised with Experian it shows my bankruptcy (not seen before and in process of cleaning) however it states not settled with nationwide although the default date ties in with bankruptcy...it shows a special indicator from 01/03/09???
Everytime I take two steps forward it seems four back, what is this and what do I do with it???
Thanks

I have this on several of my entries, all it means (in the sense of bankruptcy) is that they have added a partial settlement rather than marking the account fully settled.
The key is to make sure the default date is not later than the bankruptcy date, so no matter what they add after that date, it will all fall off when the 6 year default date arrives.
Thankfully all mine go in march next year!!
