I'm guessing its easier to say no cuff links rather than try and define no tacky/comedy/ostentatious/offensive cuff links?

If ringo_24601's company can do it then UBS can.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

I don't get 'no cuff links' .. that makes no sense at all

I know when i'm seeing more important clients, i'll always wear cufflinks (that match my tie, of course). We have a 2 page version of this sort of thing for work.. it's mainly to make sure that newbie graduates don't turn up at client meetings in jeans..

Especially since their President wore French cuffs with links when announcing this.

For far too long, the finance sector hid its liabilities. Transparent underwear is therefore a major step forward in helping re-establish trust. Going another step forward would be even better, because if anyone had seen Fred Goodwin or Adam Applegarth naked, they'd never have gone within a mile of RBS or Northern Rock.

I wish they would focus more on hiring and retaining people with some common sense, knowledge and customer service. Do adults really need to have what should be obvious about personal appearance in a proffessional workplace, pointed out to them.

Reminds me of the Ogden Nash lines:

Yours are the limbs, my sweeting.
You may look divine as you advance,
But you should see yourself retreating!

I think there are probably other reasons. Such as your mental health problems.

Cufflinks are considered rather louche these days. Are you an estate agent or window salesman by any chance?

And, without sounding typically male, a few tight shirts and visable underwear might have been a welcome distraction when I used to wait 30 minutes in a queue a my bank.
