Oh, 'cos my diary (and my personal goals) are also to grow the business and TTC (both also v important in my life), just a small update on these too....
- Managed to secure an O/D so really pleased about this. Obv trying to not use it, if poss, but realise that I might need to...
- Still TTC and DH has been talking about getting a Clear Blue Monitor thingy, but the price is putting me off. Not sure if worth spending on or not, but will post on the r'ships board to see if anyone has any sage advice

Updated grocery budget after super-cheap Aldi shop of £32.94, excluding batch cooking. Planning on doing something with mince for the batch cooking this weekend since I already have a full bag of veggie mince in the freezer for me already.
What I need to do this week:
- Make sure i don't overspend when I see my friend tomorrow. Going to just take £10 out with me - and that's it!
- Do price comparison for utlities - see if I'm getting the best deal
- Arrange to catch up with ex-work colleague (social and networking opportunity)Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Aaaah, been waiting to update my totals!
Now £31,525
OK, so really still pretty monstrous, but it's getting closer to the sub £30k mark... I think I'll feel much better when it's £2X,XXX just from a psychological point of view.
Continuing with the batch cooking this weekend by making basic mince (x 16 portions). I'll use this to make spag bol, mince and tatties, and other mince delights
. Also got the ingredients to make sausage and bean casserole too, with shop from Morrisons and Aldi. The next few months are going to be crazy busy with my work and DH completing his dissertation. So, batch cooking is going to hopefully make life much easier.
I've made some business decisions this week, which will (all being well) go a long way in investing in the growth of the business. But, I'm still trying to reconcile in my mind, how the bliddy hell I can mix my fledgling business with having a baby. Still not quite worked it out, but I'm sure I will. Surely it's not impossible, right?
Went out with my friend on Friday and spent a grand total of £15. Gone are the days of spending £100 on a night out - ha!
Catching up with my ex workmate next week, which will be nice. There's a mini freelance project that they want me to work on that will bring in a little bit of extra cash -.
Jobs for today:- Batch cook basic mince
- Price compare utilities (still not done yet)
- Update totals on sig for groceries and debt
- Check out free code for Bing pay-per-click advertising
- Help DH transcribe interviews for his uni research

Been so busy recently, not had chance to do very much diary updating <tut tut>. But, have today paid off the balance on one of the old loans and feel compelled to update. Had this loan for what feels like aaaaaaaaaagggeeees, and can't tell you how great it feels to have this crossed off the list finally.
This means that the monthly debt repayments now stand at £577 rather than £895.
Looking forward to updating the new totals at the end of the week. :cool:Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. Oh, and significantly, it means that we don't need to live off 'borrowed money' as long as stay in budget. New debt total now updated. Now under £30k - hurrah!
Planning to get this to £20k by the end of the year, if possible. This will really depend on how the business does, of course. Still v early days with most profit being reinvested back into business, but I think I can definitely start increasing my income in the summer. Which will be nice as there's lots of things that NEED updating in the house.
Although the debt total is still actually higher than when I started the DFW journey previously, £17k is related to the business which is in my own name. Sooo, actually, taking this out of the equation, my 'own' personal debt is really about £12.5k.
(Obviously justifying it to myself, but hey ho
