24-7 Electrical

Options
I am looking to buy an LCD TV from 24-7 Electrical. The prices online are some of the best I've seen and are available on 9 months interest free credit. Does anybody have any experiences of the company?

  • Can also vouch for them, got a 50" HD Sony bravia for around £800 off them, was £1000 everywhere else at least.

I used them last week. The goods turned up more quickly than they had indicated.

The reviews online about them are terrible!! - I'm not so sure now. I have tried to contact them but their telephone lines are CLOSED down. They won't even respond by email.

They were OK - only real issues we had were that they only deliver to our area on Mondays so I had to take time off to receive the delivery (I work unusual hours, but the same hours every week). Goods can sometimes take a while to arrive in stock at their warehouse, and only once they are in can you book a delivery day. This happened to us - fridge came into stock about 2 weeks after we ordered it, but by then the following Monday's delivery was full so we had to wait a further week. So might be a good idea if you can try to order "in stock" items.

Can't say this is 24-7's fault - but we ordered 2 items - fridge and dishwasher. Fridge came dead on arrival (took us a few days to try it as we were fitting a new kitchen, had engineer out, he said it was dead and the manufacturer sent us a new one). Dishwasher came with a seized bolt on the bottom (it's a built-in model and needs to be adjusted for height and level) which again required an engineer visit.

So to summarise, we got the goods we asked for and at a good price, but there were drawbacks. The other white goods purchases I've made since then (chest freezer and tumble dryer) have been purchased through John Lewis Direct, and I cannot speak highly enough of their service and quality. And to be honest, with the voucher codes I found on this site, their prices were very competitive anyway.

    Good luck with your purchases!

PS. In case you were thinking of trying them - had loads of problems with LX Direct not wanting to honour codes - but if you try them, you might be luckier though I'll personally never shop with them again (cancelled my order as they messed me around so much).

I used them and they were great. I ordered a hob, which turned out to be slightly too big for the space, and they exchanged it for a smaller one without any charge. No admin, and no additional courier costs.

Used them twice-they were great, very quick service.Had a look at the reviews,i think on pricerunner at the time-they were very good.Edit -whoops i was getting them confused with 365 electrical.
  • I found them fine. At the end of the day they are competing on price rather than service. If you want to look at the item in a shop and talk to a trained assistant they are not for you :)
