Hello
I am new to the site, and was wondering if someone would please give me a breakdown of the jargon on the site?
What is SOA? Can you please explain the meanings of the other items mentioned on the bottom of some peoples threads - Quidco, Debt Challenge etc.
How do you get a number for the Debt free club, I notice some people have them and others do not.
I also would like to know how some people have managed to pay in some cases up to £6000 in repayments since the new year, did you do this by another job? or selling things.
Sorry for so many questions, just trying to figure out ways to earn money to speed up the repayments schedule.:o
Debt wanna be - 04/09 earlier if at all possible!

Hello Lucy - welcome aboard!
An SOA is a statement of affairs. Southern Scouser has a sticky at the top of the list explaining what this is and how to do it.
The DFW Nerd club was started by Southern Scouser (him again!). You'll find it here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=170059. Add a post and SS will give you [STRIKE]his[/STRIKE] a number.
As for your other questions, look at some of the debt free diaries for good ideas. There are also many threads relating to Quidco, Pigsback, extra jobs and ebaying.
I'm sure someone will be along in a moment with more ideas. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
SOA is statement of accounts. YOu list all your incomings and outgoings - there's a brilliant one somewhere by Scottish Spendaholic, and I'm sure someone will be along to give you an URL (web address) for it soon.
Search for a thread on Debt free nerds - you just post on the thread and ask nicely if you can join the club (people round here are very friendly!)
Best way to answer this is to read lots of inspiring threads! People have saved money by going Old Style (see the Old Style board), by matched betting (I haven't done this yet but it seems to be a good moneymaker) and by........well, doing ALL the things this whole site tells you about!
Good luck with your saving money, and welcome to the site!!!!!1Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

Welcome fellow Newbie. Check out the Quidco one plenty of references on the main site. You get cashback for all sorts including applying for low/0% credit cards to balance transfer to! :cool:Every Penny's a prisoner :T0
