    I have requested a loan at Yorkshire Building Society / Chelsea building Society and they have counted the money that I am paying for the student loan against me and reduced the amount I can borrow significantly. I have no other debts.

    With these new MMR rules - where they have to look at your affordability, then expect student loans to always be taken into account. Very frustrating!
